Baby's day out

getting ready to go out ....

Baby has grow so much longer, now her legs are outside the combi carrier.

mommy n baby ...

first stop ...

at a shop that sell cloth diapers. Mommy is looking for some lovely cloth diapers for Baby. They are pretty expensive, but cloth diapers are supposed to be better for Baby's bum. Mommy just loves shopping lovely stuff for Baby.

mommy bought a packet of six pocket cloth diapers with 15 inserts to try out. These diapers and inserts are a special package deal but still very pricey. The salegirl said that we can 'upgrade' to a bigger set package within 2 weeks and pay the price difference.

these 'modern' cloth diapers are supposed to wash better and easier than old-fashioned cloth diapers. I hope so, don't fancy scrubbing off Baby's poo from dirty diapers.

after walking around the mall for a while, it's dinner time for the adults. Baby as usual is alseep in the pram.

my dinner and son-in-law's pasta.

these are my hubby and daughter's dinner.

Hi Peony,

My mum in law bought a dozen of cloth diapers for me when my son was born and we didn't use it to wrap baby bum, even my mum prefer the disposable type as she rather save the time looking after the bb then to clean the soil cloth diapers.

I have not seen this kind of combi carrier in US yet, pretty cool.

The best way to clean cloth diapers is to pre-rinse them off in the toilet using a Hand Bathroom Bidet Sprayer. So convenient and if you are trying to help the environment (and your pocket book) you can give it a double whammy by virtually eliminating toilet paper use by using it on yourself also. That is what they were originally created for. I think Dr. Oz on Oprah said it best: "if you had pee or poop on your hand, you wouldn't wipe it off with paper, would you? You'd wash it off" Available at http://www.bathroomsprayers.com they come in an inexpensive kit and can be installed without a plumber. Now we're talking green and helping the environment without any pain. One review: http://jonathanandandrea.blogspot.com/2009/04/spray-it-or-scrub-it.html

Peony,

Try apply Drapolene cream (pink color tube) for the nappy rash, this cream is very good, I'm still using it for both my kids now when they complain of itch at the private part.

Forgot to mention, besides the premium brand Pampers which is much more expensive, I like mamy poka disposable diapers, my kids and my sisters kid don't get rashes when wearing this brand.

thank jennifer
sakura's rashes are off n on and mild, the redness goes off fast.

she wears a Jp brand too, think her skin is more sensitive cos both her parents have eczema.
